[I am here for awkwardly cuddling cute baby animals with a friend.]

[The animal in Loki's lap is not a baby goat. It is preternaturally adorable, though, more or less a ball of white fluff with a stubby tail and huge, dewy, jet black eyes.]

It's a baby seal. [He explains.] Orphaned nearby. I thought you'd like seeing it since it's absurdly cute. You can pet it. I don't think we can keep it on the ship though; someone might eat it.

But I'll make sure it's safe. I can always enchant another mother seal to finish raising it.

[ The Swede has never seen a baby seal before... oh... it is so cute he instantly tears up. There is a strong similarity between the baby seal's expression and the Swede's. Swede really has that sad puppy eyes thing going on too. ]

I... I loff it..... I am so happy... I... I may pet it? [ Very... very carefully, he gently pets it on the head. It is so soft... ]

H... hallo... do you also... have no Mama...

[He doesn't have cute tiny animals, those are often food. But he can offer an adorable four day old wobbly legged foal in these trying times.]

Gringolet was the stud, so she's going to be very smart and very fast once she figures out how legs work.

[Loki does NOT plan on telling the Swede that sometimes people hunt and kill these precious things for their coats. This one is safe for life, regardless, and as far as he can tell, the mother was eaten by an orca or shark.

When petted, the seal makes a funny beeeeeehhhhhh noise, halfway between a lamb and a human complaining. It feels safe for the moment, but it might be confused.

Loki figures that's okay, the Swede is usually a little confused, too.] Have you ever heard stories about Selkies? Irish fairy tales. Supposedly, there are sea beings that are seals half the time and can take off that form like a skin to look human and visit the shore.

This isn't one, obviously, but it's a good story.

[Tiny is inherently cute, but cute can also be found in larger baby creatures simply because of the inherent awkwardness. Loki is visibly enchanted by the foal, offering his hands for her to sniff, nuzzle and/or attempt to nurse.]

Well hello, little lady. I think mares are usually inherently smarter than stallions. Less testosterone interrupting the flow of thought.

[She's a bold little thing. She stumbles right on over to sniff and indeed look for food. She's not very graceful at it, but she still very young.]

I don't know. Gawain's stallion is probably the smartest horse I've seen. But that's probably because he has to make up for his rider.

I haven't. I've never actually ever named any of my horses. [Just like in the legends, he has a habit of running his horses into the ground to get into battle quickly.] Maybe I should, seeing as it's going to be at least three years before she's even ready for a rider.

[The little foal has given up on food, since there's no milk for her here, and now just demands pets]

[ N-no, that would break the Swede's heart! He loffs this little creature with all his heart.

He pets very gently, so careful not to hurt it or pet too hard. They are united in confusion whenever their eyes meet. ] Oh... ja... I heard...

I think... this one is just a little baby... you can tell when it is a selkie because the eyes are different, I heard that before... [ He has some very basic sailor knowledge of things like selkies, mermaids, the kraken, mostly nonsense though, the things these pirates will pass around. He pets the baby seal's side, softly. ]

This baby... baby seal... is also a Swede... we are the same color? [ He means his hair and the fur, though it's white of course, it is now a honorary Swede! Swede is so happy. ]

[ Hey! Is there any particular scenario you're feeling? ]

[Hiya! Two perhaps? After season two I need some good old hurt comfort.]

[ Before I start, shall it be accidental emotional pain post canon, something a bit more hurtful,.or physical pain shenanigans?]

[Man, oh man. We could go with a bit of column a and column b? Maybe post canon one of them gets hurt? I mean Hell seemed pretty ticked off about Aziraphale using his Halo and Crowley taking Aziraphale's side again.]

[ Fuck.

Getting him on the way to a bakery was simply a low blow. There should be something somewhere written against that. Not that Hell was particular about rules or doing anything by the book. By any book, really. And at this hour of the morning? Most of London isn't even awake yet. That's just bloody rude, that is.

He had gone by food, mostly to pass the time, while the angel was somewhere upstairs doing...whatever he had been doing for hours. Filing books? Dusting the selves? Talking to the paintings? Crowley doesn't quite know, but he saw the time and figured he'd step out to get the angel something to eat.

He thought all of this was over. But of course it isn't. Shax wasn't just about to leave them alone, not after what happened. She'd sent some of her goons - real bottom of the barrel ones, what with the understaffing getting worse and worse by the year - and Crowley had lost them down a few alleys, but they played dirty. Of course they did. He should have brought the bloody car.

He doesn't quite remember everything he did down there, but they sure had some new ways of doing things. Not a proper complex thought through any of their heads, but enough brute force that he was still feeling it now that he was dragging himself back to the bookshop. With warm croissants.

He pushed the door open and ambled his way inside. His sunglasses dropped on a pile of books, his coat painfully pulled off and tossed somewhere, he doesn't care to check. Box of croissants deposited on the front table, which he pushes himself around round so that he can drop on the sofa with a heavy, achy grunt.

He should check on Aziraphale. In a minute. He can feel that he's around, and it doesn't feel like he's in danger.

That's good. Just, give him a minute.

He doesn't notice that, well, it's likely not even that same morning.]

[Aziraphale had been making certain that none of his personal things had been discovered. How would Crowley or Muriel reacted if they had found the ever growing assortment of his private journals? Aziraphale didn't even want to imagine it. There were just some things he wasn't ready for Crowley to know about.

But it didn't take him long to make certain they were still safe and sound. Coming back to seek out his companion, he found the shop surprisingly lacking his demon counterpart. He frowned and moved to search his pockets for his own cellphone - Crowley had insisted he get one just in case. Pressing the button to call Crowley there wasn't an answer.

Rinse, repeat.

Crossing the street he checked in with Nina then Maggie - even Mrs. Sandwich but no one had seen him. Had something happened? Had he gotten annoyed waiting? But the Bentley was there and that must have meant he was planning on just briefly popping out, surely?

He spent the whole night looking for Crowley until dark even then though every light in the shop was on and the angel was pacing the floor watching, waiting. It was worrying to not be able to get ahold of Crowley.

By nightfall? That worry had morphed into anxiety and panic.
The dawn of the next day found Aziraphale beside himself, fear clawing at his insides.

He was in the back, biting at his thumb trying to figure out some way to located his demon. Hearing the bell he turned swiftly walking towards the door. He wasn't in danger he was in distress.]

Crowley!?

[He hurried to his side and reached out touching his cheek. Worried, the angel was looking him over with teary eyes. It was obvious to him that someone had gotten hold of him and hurt him.]

Oh, Crowley-dear, What did they do? We - we should get you cleaned up and tended.

[ The demon groans to himself as soon as he hears the angel call out - he really would have preferred to have, say, five or ten minutes to rest his weary corporation and make himself presentable, before telling the angel just exactly what happened. Speaking of, what did they exactly do that he was left feeling this way? It's certainly new. ]

S'alright, angel. [ He grunts, gently pushing his hand away and pushing himself up into a sit. Whew. Whatever those demons did packed a punch. ]

Just need a minute.

You're very much not all right. Why do you insist on being such astubborn, stubborn creature? They seem to have roughed you up. [Then he was taking a warm wet flannel and carefully cleaning a bit of - Was that blood? - whatever it was off of Crowley's lower lip.]

I should get you upstairs for a bath and tend you. Do you think you could manage it with a bit of help? I wouldn't want to try and Miracle it better and accidently make it worse. [He'd learned the hard way that sometimes it was a bad idea to take short cuts with actual injuries.]

[ Crowley understands that it's all from a place of worry and concern, but the angel is throwing far too many words at him right now. It's all mostly turning into a jumbled mess. Also, is that soot or moss on the back of his hand? His mouth tastes awful.

Right, the angel.]

A minute, angel. [ He says, gently enough, trying to cast away the feeling of exhaustion. He doesn't like that.

He raises his eyes to meet Aziraphale's. ]

Did anyone show up here?

[He just rolled his eyes and uses that warm wet flannel to clean up his face and neck with gentle, light touches. He knows that Crowley is struggling and he wanted to help but he couldn't figure out what injuries he had or what had happened to him exactly. One wrong move and he could make it worse.

He shook his head with a worried smile. Of course, Crowley would worry about him before himself. What was he to do with this demon?]

No. No one came to mess with me. I've been perfectly safe. It's you I'm worried aout.

[ The wet fabric touches on something that aches and he hisses a breath in, teeth bared. That's a new feeling and he doesn't like it. ]

Right. Alright. Good. Good good.

[ Because he isn't sure he would have it in him to get rid of them at this moment. ]
