[It was hard to tell just what was going on in the clone's head with his helmet on. But he'd been talking with Maul for some time now and hadn't left yet. That had to mean something. He watched and waited, wondering if Rex would close off his mind to the possibilities the way so many others had and ignore the doom that was coming for them all. He thought for certain he'd leave and send in someone else to watch over Maul for the rest of the trip.

What did was the fact someone understood what Maul was saying was the truth. The trust Rex was showing him caused Maul to put all his cards on the table.]
