Well, I can't exactly argue with reality now, can I?

Humm... Is that supposed to be a prophecy? It makes a pretty poem, but it sounds more like a cautionary tale to me.

It's... a Doom. Pronounced by Namó himself, the Doomsman of the Valar. Though calling it a prophecy might not be entirely false.

I don't think I could take anything seriously coming from a guy who calls himself the Doomsman.

It's not what he calls himself, it's what he is. As a Vala he is one of the Powers of the world and to him falls the responsibility to pronounce the dooms and judgements of Eru Ilúvatar.

[And as the judge of the world he tends to be a judgy little bitch...]

Look. I grew up in Valinor, I might not be too fond of the Valar right now but I'm not stupid enough not to acknowledge the fact that if they wished they could snuff me out as easily as I could a candleflame.

Huh... I think I get it, now.

[He'd not go so far as to call most of the Valar cruel, he mostly found them to be stupid and incompetent, which was bad enough in his eyes. Though Námo, perhaps, he did find a bit cruel in his uncaring ways. He still has not forgiven him for leaving it to him to break the news of Finwë's death to his father, when he knew full well the Vala had been sitting with that information for quite some time before Maedhros and his brothers arrived.]

I suppose there is, but I'd rather not get into such complicated topics right now if I do not have to. As for what's in store for me now... well, I still need to fulfill the Oath I swore and after that... well, I suppose I've lived far longer than I've wished already.
