Does the wind talk back?

The wind only has whatever voice people give it. But sometimes, when you are fortunate and the currents are right, people talk back.

Can you speak to the wind as well? It requires that both people communicating have the ability. Most people without it use us to send and relay their messages for them.

The wind chooses you. I shan't be able to say whether it can't do that as long as you breathe, but I have never met a hvisler who was not born with this gift.

Every town must have one hvisler, if not more. We travel and settle in accordance with this principle. My father came to our town a lifetime ago and became chieftain eventually.
