Green and growing. It's a wonderful place... one made so by the hard work of it's people and, during my reign, by the strength of its knights.

Sounds a bit like home. Not... not Beleriand, or at least not my small part of it, but the place of my birth. Valinor, the Undying Lands.

A place of great natural beauty, then. It sounds lovely.

It is. Especially the Pastures of Yavanna and the Gardens of Lórien.

Places I might want to visit some day, if I get the opportunity.

It is a very hard place to get to if you are a mortal... but then you would not be the first one to be granted an exception either if you would manage it. My cousins daughter married a Man and they both sailed and were granted entry from what I've gathered.

I am part dragon, but I don't think that would quite qualify me.

I suppose it would depend more upon the nature of your soul than anything else. The half-elves that chose a mortal fate would not get leave enter Valinor no matter their heritage because their soul is now mortal. It is, in a way, for their protection. Mortals are not made for the Undying Lands... just like my own people are not exactly made to weather the lands outside it forever.

Of my soul I know not. Only of my life and what I have done in the immediate aftermath... I cannot say where I truly go when I die. Or whether it is a choice I can make.

Unfortunately it is not a choice many gets to make. Only the half-elves as far as I know, supposedly because they were not part of the One's plan... but I'm not entirely sure I believe that reasoning. The rest of us must go were we are destined. Humans to a destination unknown to the rest of us and us elves to the Halls of Waiting to heal and to be reembodied.

I may end up somewhere similar to that... a place called Avalon, to sleep until the ending of the world.

[ She sounds wistful. ]

Perhaps I'm not so different.

Mayhaps so... mayhaps Avalon is simply another name for the Blessed Realm. The Gardens of Lórien is just the type of place where one would go to sleep until the ending of the world, I think, so that ones spirit and body may heal from all it's worldly hurts.

[He sounds... like it is something he himself longs for.]

Perhaps not. You do have... something of that air about you that would not feel entirely out of place there.

I'm glad to have earned that much. I will take that as a sign of respect... and of approval.

I like to think I'm a rather good judge of character. And I can clearly see you are someone worthy of my respect as well as my approval.

Still, it means a lot to hear such a thing. I don't believe I introduced myself properly... I am King Arthur of the Britons. Although I mostly go by "Saber" at this point.

I do hope so. I think I would very much like that, either to see the lands you speak of so fondly or to show you the fair lands of my birth.
