Hard to say. Never lived in the before time, the pre-war books I've seen makes me think this place isn't so different.

We get a lot of that in the Wasteland too, people leaving that is.

It takes some time, but it's manageable. I've been doing the same. It's a hell of a lot softer than it used to be. Have you experienced air conditioning yet? Incredible.
