Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip

You were on your way, sailing along the seas or the stars or the skies in some sort of vessel but something's gone terribly wrong and your ship is going down. It's unsavable, you have to abandon it. You've been shipwrecked.
Post your character, tone and setting preferences (is it a traditional boat and deserted island? A spaceship crashing on a strange planet? An airship caught on mountains? Feel free to be flexible!) and pick some prompts you like!
1. Getting Wrecked: you're still on the ship and it's the moment it starts to go down. Whether it's by storm, battle, tragic accident, even the kraken - now's the crisis that causes the shipwreck. Maybe grab the nearest person and find a way off this thing!
2. Adrift: Just after the ship's been sunk, you're in a lifeboat or escape pod or maybe you're in the water and there's a floating piece of wood only big enough for one person. Whatever the case, you're probably in shock or trying to figure out what your options are. And maybe hope there are some helpful mermaids and there aren’t any sharks
3. Washed Up: you've reached or woken up on shore. Where are you? Where'd you end up? Better explore and figure out where you are with whoever got stranded with you. It's time to get your bearings. Is the place abandoned or do you find something there, like the ruins of other ships or an abandoned pirate hideout? There could also be something strange about it…
4. Survival: you've been stranded. You need food, water supplies. If your ship is around you might need to fix it, or maybe it's gone and you need to build a raft or some sort of signal for help. Or you could go full Castaway, Gilligan's Island, Swiss Family Robinson, maybe even LOST if that's your jam. And if you're doing more of a genre thing, are there monsters? Aliens? Strange plants and animals you're not sure if edible? Whatever the case, you want to get off this rock or get rescued, but you're going to have to survive until then.
5. Saved: you repaired your ship or built a replacement or someone's found you. How long has it been? How dirty are you? And how glad are you that it's all about to be over?

Morella’s here. Red headed, freckly, dressed in some sort of school uniform. She lifts her head to blink blearily in the direction of the disapproving glare of the sun, and lets out a sound that’s more a whimper than anything else.]
I am going to get so sunburned out here…

Benedict had the distinct feeling--an ache in his neck, the dull throb down his back and shoulder--that he hadn't survived so much as been brought back after washing up on the shore. It wouldn't be the first time, nor the last. He wasn't so sure about his current beach-stranded companion. His eyes fell back on the young girl as the thought coursed through his head unbidden. He frowned slightly, looked away again, and kept his mouth shut.
There was a sparse jungle of some sort behind them. It would provide shade at least. The problem was how to reach it. Benedict's neck craned upwards. The beach dead-ended at a set of shear cliffs. He quickly looked back out to the sea and it struck him suddenly: the tide swallowed this area completely when it went high, the water lapping at the cliff side with consistent force. The waterline was visible on the rocks, a smear of discontent color on the otherwise uniform coloration of the rock formation. They would only have so long on this beach before it was consumed by the water once more.
Benedict tried not to stare at the rocks too long, tried not to think about what would happen if a body was swept into the jagged edges with the force of a raging typhoon. His neck stung just thinking about it.
He returned his attention to the glaring sun and the poor teen aged girl that had washed up on this beach with him. He held back a weary sigh as he got to his feet and tried in vain to dust himself off. Eventually, he couldn't remain silent any longer.]
Then we should try to find some shade.
[He offered by way of revealing himself lightly. It came off more dry than intended so he continued.]
That was...an adventure. Are you- um, how are you feeling?

[Not being alone helps. It helps a lot. Morella is not a bold girl (at least, she doesn't think of herself as such), and the mere idea of facing this beach and whatever comes next by herself was overwhelming.
She slowly levers to her feet. If she had the presence of mind, the fact that her uniform is eerily immaculate would be a clue as to her state of being. No tears, no stains. There's a vague dampness and a lingering salt air, but she's not nearly as scruffed up as she ought to be.]
Shade's probably a good idea.

It couldn't hurt. [after a moment's pause] Let's see if walking a little way down the beach doesn't clear your head. Let me know if the dizziness gets worse though, or if you need to stop and sit down.
[There could be a number of reasons for dizziness, and none of them particularly good. And then there was her particular ailment that Benedict wasn't certain how to bring up. Or what it meant that she had felt anything at all while...under such a condition.
If she were a ghost, she was a very peculiar one by his usual standards.
He only felt sympathy for her rather than fearful or worried for himself. He was positive she didn't know it yet and that could be a problem in the future. It also made the situation sad and mournful. She appeared so young...
Benedict gestured in one direction down the beach's length.]
Let's head in this direction and look for a way up.
