Ask Me Anything!

  1. In your subject line or toplevel, post something for others to ask your character about.
  2. Examples could be "I am a Starfleet Captain", or "I fought dinosaurs on Isla Nublar", or "I am on a quest of vengeance in 1657 Japan."
  3. Others will come in and ask them anything!
  4. Honesty is optional. :3

Was this history lost to time or something more insidious?
crimsonsphere: (And in your man-made dark.)

Insidious. Definitely insidious. "World ruled by the Church of Lies and Death for a thousand years" insidious.

I hope that wasn't their actual name. Though it would be a bold marketing choice if it were.

Are you the sole sphere seeker?
crimsonsphere: (I'm thinking targets.)

Heh, they were a little more subtle than that. They just named it after the man who started the problem and then buried the truth about him.

There's plenty of us. And some of us really are after the history, and not just using it as an excuse to plunder ruins or act like pirates.

I believe there's a saying for that. What's in a name? Normally, something hidden for good reason.

Why is reclaiming this history so important to you? To overthrow this church?
crimsonsphere: (But we cannot escape the past.)

Hm. Interesting version of the saying.

[Her name is Paine. It's a coincidence, but...]

The 'overthrowing' part is taken care of. Now we're busy picking up the pieces... trying to understand what's true and what isn't.

One of the joys of language is playing with it. Or do you prefer a plainer approach?

A difficult feat, no doubt. Truth so easily becomes muddled in myth.
crimsonsphere: (They've come upon something rare.)

I don't like wasting time. [Which means 'yes.']

Muddled, buried, torn apart--we've found broken video spheres before. And then you get people who are only interested in seeing what confirms what they already think, whether or not they're right.
