The people I met there were very kind and good for the most part. They also had excellent cuisine.

I don't know. I've eaten apples and I've liked their crunchy sweetness. But all the prepared food in the castle doesn't "taste" right. [ At least, she assumes a biscuit shouldn't taste sour. ] Most fairies would see a picture of the finished meal and recreate it with a miracle, but they don't know or care about "the contents" or the process of making it. They skip that.

That's all right! You helped me a lot already. Maybe someday, I could ask your assistance to sample some of my cooking.

[ooc: Castoria's an interesting case, because she starts the story refusing the Call and hiding away from it. She's also jaded and cynical and definitely has unheroic reactions. A lot is her mentor's influence: Oberon is her Merlin. That makes her actions more devastating. She is aware she isn't a larger-than-life heroine as Artoria or Aesc (there's even a section where she sees Artoria's life and literally can't understand her at all), and even admits she could never best Morgan, but that's ok. She'll step up and complete the task. It hurts a lot. ]

[ ooc: yeah. but everyone in lb6 is tragic including the comic relief characters who get an awful send-off. there's like a competition for horrible and traumatic backgrounds, unfair fates, or doomed love stories. ]
