You and whoever replies to you are stuck together after falling in a hole.

You're in a deep, dark pit that you can't climb out of easily, and you're trapped together. Maybe it was a trapping pit, maybe it was an open manhole cover, maybe an uncovered well or elaborate secret trap in a spooky house - but whatever the cause was, you two fell for it. Literally.

[Lea has his phone too, but he doesn't want to ADMIT DEFEAT!! They can beat this! It's just a HOLE! Surely they can beat a hole!]

I'm thinking, I'm thinking! [he summons his keyblade and sticks it in the ground so they have some light, at least]

... Wait. I got it! [he formchanges his keyblade back into chakrams and starts fidgeting with one of them and the rope] If I can just... [sir what are you planning]

[ the two brain cells ping-ponging around in his skull manage to brush against each other, and he understands what Axel is doing pretty quickly. It's a decent idea, actually. Except for one thing... ]

You think you can throw it hard enough for it to stick and hold us up?

[ this is spoken frankly, not cynically. As usual, he trusts that Axel can do almost anything... but the more practical part of him isn't so sure this will work. ]

[good job rucksack you did it. He's focused on tying his knot though. He's gonna do it RIGHT this time. Once it's secure, he looks at Roxas with a frown]

Well, we could always try tying it to my Keyblade if this doesn't work.

[ because Keyblades are somehow sharp(?) enough to stick into the ground and stuff?? i don't know, talk to nomura about it. It's an off-handed reply rather than a serious suggestion; Roxas folds his arms, taking a step back (as much as he can in this Nobody Hole) so Axel has more room to swing and offering a little smile. ]

Lea sticks his tongue out, squinting at the top of the hole. He swings it back and forth on his fingers, getting some momentum. There's not a whole lot of room... Then, he tosses it up with practiced accuracy, arcing it over the edge of the hole. Focusing hard, he yanks on the rope with his other hand, bringing the chakram down hard into the ground by the edge. It clinks on something, and he tugs on the rope]

Ha!! Nice. First try! [he puts more weight on the rope, testing it]

Oh yeah... Right.

[ it's still hard to get used to the notion of Axel having a keyblade, especially when he's using his chakrams in the moment. So much of his apparent value had been tied specifically to his ability to wield the keyblade back then. If Axel had been able to do it, then he's sure he and Xion never would have...

Well. There's no use dwelling on that. He's long past all that stuff, anyway! Roxas shakes his head slightly, then instead focuses on watching Axel do his thing. Successfully, even. ]

You did it! [ he clenches his fists victoriously. ] Let's get out of here. It smells funny.

[he tugs on the rope again and, satisfied, starts climbing up.

NOW WE FIND OURSELVES AT A CROSSROADS MY DEAR SIB. Does the rope hold, leading to sweet freedom for dumb ice cream boys?? Or does it break, giving Axel a bruised tailbone and an even MORE bruised ego???

but it's fine, because comeuppance is headed his way fast and he does not know dodge roll. time for route c: A Little Of Both. Because, naturally, Roxas doesn't dare try to climb the rope at the same time Axel does - he doesn't know if the chakram can hold both their weights, let alone the rope itself, and he's not about to test it after how much trouble they've already had. So he waits for Axel to haul his skinny butt up out of the hole, then goes ahead and grabs the rope himself, beginning to climb up -

only for the rope to snap at once, possibly sliced by one of the pointy bits on Axel's weapon, and for Roxas to flail and fall backwards with a woah! followed by an unhappily moist-sounding thump. Why is the hole wet?! ]
