You and whoever replies to you are stuck together after falling in a hole.

You're in a deep, dark pit that you can't climb out of easily, and you're trapped together. Maybe it was a trapping pit, maybe it was an open manhole cover, maybe an uncovered well or elaborate secret trap in a spooky house - but whatever the cause was, you two fell for it. Literally.

Well, we could always try tying it to my Keyblade if this doesn't work.

[ because Keyblades are somehow sharp(?) enough to stick into the ground and stuff?? i don't know, talk to nomura about it. It's an off-handed reply rather than a serious suggestion; Roxas folds his arms, taking a step back (as much as he can in this Nobody Hole) so Axel has more room to swing and offering a little smile. ]

Lea sticks his tongue out, squinting at the top of the hole. He swings it back and forth on his fingers, getting some momentum. There's not a whole lot of room... Then, he tosses it up with practiced accuracy, arcing it over the edge of the hole. Focusing hard, he yanks on the rope with his other hand, bringing the chakram down hard into the ground by the edge. It clinks on something, and he tugs on the rope]

Ha!! Nice. First try! [he puts more weight on the rope, testing it]

[Sarah nods. She can't say likewise with total honesty to someone she knows nothing about yet, so she doesn't.]

Sarah. [She looks up at the distant edge of the pit. Trying to get back up there is a non-starter.] We should be careful. It's dark--there may be dangerous creatures down here.

[Well, uh. Larcei's not sure how to respond to that.]

You look like a person to me. [She can't make herself really believe that nobody up there will care his absence from the surface. She knows hers will be noticed.] I think we should see about getting out of this pit, Alcryst. What do you say?

[That makes the fact the he can't see much of anything a little bit more of a nuisance, and he takes another look around, squinting to see if there's anything like a pair of glowing eyes he may have overlooked before. It sounds pretty quiet, too, so he thinks it's probably... unlikely.]

Well, if we meet any, I may be able to do something with my magic, even if it's just to scare them away.

[ alcryst knows people care about him, he just has a very low opinion of himself. ]

Yes, we should. I'm decent with a bow, but there isn't anything like that in here.

[ Sebek does not like this. He's not even sure what series of events led to him falling down this hole with Kalim, but he is feeling along the wall for even the slightest handhold. ]

If I can just find something to grab onto, I can climb back up!

[ But he's not finding that something. Not even the slightest. ]

[The sudden fall had taken Kalim by surprise, but it's not like he hasn't tripped or stumbled often on account of his carelessness... Just... He's never fallen quite so far. But there's always a bright side, and this one is that he's not alone! So long as he has some company, it doesn't matter where he's at, even the bottom of a mysterious hole.]

We could try it as a signal--but there's no telling what kind of people are up there. [After all, they're strangers to each other, and that means there's no guarantee of actual friends nearby.] We can't let just anyone know that we're trapped and vulnerable.

[She starts to run her hands along the walls of the pit, searching for possible handholds or footholds--she'll accept just about anything as a possibility.]

No, I'm definitely not.

[ brodia may be more mountainous than other places, but that doesn't mean alcryst possesses those sort of skills and he had certainly never been trained that way. ]

[ he's only a baby... his voice is tinged with suspicion, however. Not suspicion of Sophia, but suspicion that - once again - his coworkers didn't tell him something important. ]

[ it's still hard to get used to the notion of Axel having a keyblade, especially when he's using his chakrams in the moment. So much of his apparent value had been tied specifically to his ability to wield the keyblade back then. If Axel had been able to do it, then he's sure he and Xion never would have...

Well. There's no use dwelling on that. He's long past all that stuff, anyway! Roxas shakes his head slightly, then instead focuses on watching Axel do his thing. Successfully, even. ]

You did it! [ he clenches his fists victoriously. ] Let's get out of here. It smells funny.

[he tugs on the rope again and, satisfied, starts climbing up.

That's been my experience with caverns and tunnels. [You go underground, there are creatures there that want to eat you. Or things that can't actually be categorized as creatures, and those are worse.

She's also looking around, alert to any movement, any small noise--but so far, it's just her and Kalim.] You're a mage? What sort of magic?

The shield magic? Usually to deflect an attack by an enemy. Of course, the ground could count as an enemy, when falling from that high up... metaphorically.

[ His fingers pause trailing over the surface of the stone. ]

Oh, well, I can do quite a few spells now! I'm currently learning how to do more and make better use of them, but I do have a signature spell already.

[He's clearly proud of this, but the smile only lasts for a moment before he realizes what he just said.]

That's it!! My signature spell, Oasis Maker, lets me produce large amounts of fresh water with only a little bit of magical power! We could just fill this hole up until the water's high enough for us to climb out!

Then, Malleus will probably come looking for you, too, right? So there's no need to rush.

[He says, but almost as if on cue, his stomach lets out a soft growl. It's not strong at all, but in their current location, the echo certainly makes it sound worse and easy to hear.]

... Now that I think about it, it's almost time for dinner, isn't it?

Beside him, Serperior might be stretching to full length, from leafy tail to tip of his nose, but he can't quite make it to the top either, even standing at just over 10 feet!]

[It seemed like a normal enough day, Bea and her Pokemon were just up in the hills doing some training. Frankly they've been since the little hours of the morning, can't be best if you aren't willing to put the work in.

That said, they aren't machines, and lunch is as good a time as any to take a break. Her Machop however is ever the curious kind of Pokemon, and wanders off, and as fate would have it have stumbles upon a hole in the ground and a voice coming out of it.

Machop rushes back to their trainer to inform her about this. Without skipping a beat, Bea runs to the situation. It looks like a well, albeit one that hasn't been used in ages.

Hello? Is there anyone down there?

[Serperior's eyes gleamed and he tried to reach up higher, but still couldn't reach.]

What...? [Trip followed his Pokemon's gaze up and heard a voice! Trip tried to get back up, but struggled, given he couldn't stand on one foot, so slid back down.]

Y-yeah! We fell in. I lost my other pokeballs too, so it's just me and Serperior here.

[So, he couldn't rely on any Pokemon that could float or fly or use Psychic... hopefully, they aren't far!]

[Bea rushes back to her rest area and reaches in her bag for supplies, in nature you need to be careful after all. She pulls out some rope and she signals her machamp that she needs help.

Tying it to a nearby tree she tosses the rest in the well.]

Both of you grab on! Me and Machamp are going to pull you up!

[Nodding to her Machamp, they begin the pull up Trip and Serperior]

My liege has more important things to consider than coming to my rescue. I will not inconvenience him!

[ There could be a lot to unpack about that, but Sebek responds more to the growl of Kalim's stomach. ]

It is... and I had a light lunch.
